ArtPerk - A new resource for Artists & Galleries

Dear Chatham Artists Guild,

We are writing to let you know of a free resource that could be valuable to your members, in hopes that you will share the information with them.

When searching for jurored gallery shows to enter, artists are often frustrated by a process that usually includes spending a great deal of time pouring over listings to locate a show with an interesting theme, only to find that more than half of them end by explaining that they do not accept your preferred media. A new website - www.ArtPerk.com - solves this problem for artists.

ChathamArts requests your info

Dear Artists,
We are adding, updating and correcting information for our online artist directory on the ChathamArts website (www.chathamarts.org).

If your information on the artist list has changed, is not listed or is incorrect, please e-mail Daryl Walker at dfwalker99@hotmail.com. Please send name , address, contacts (email, phone, and web URL if applicable), art category, and a 10 word description of what you do.

Additionally, we would like to have a running online slide show that features photos of your work. Please send one digital photo of your work to carter.hubbard@gmail.com. These need to be .jpg files in 300 dpi. We prefer 4 x 6 inches. Please note that we may also use these photos for our press releases and promotional materials. We will, of course, credit you.

We strongly encourage you to submit photos in landscape format vs. portrait. We can run both landscape and portrait photos on our website slide show; however, we also wish to create a slide show to run on a digital photo frame on display in the gallery. This will only accomodate landscape shots.
